The Equity Toolkit was designed to support Metro staff completing equity assessments and to be a public resource for Metro partners, consultants, community-based organizations (CBOs) and community members. Metro staff should complete ongoing assessments of equity impacts, outcomes and strategies to effectively evaluate progress toward our goal of improving equitable outcomes for all Angelenos. The Office of Equity and Race provides many tools and resources for Metro staff completing equity assessments throughout a project, program or policy lifecycle.

Reporting to the Metro Board of Directors is a critical step of our process and occurs throughout the lifecycle of Metro’s projects, programs and policies. We recommend reviewing these equity assessment resources periodically, including in early project planning, during construction, throughout implementation and once your initiative is operational.
This Equity Toolkit features several resources to support Metro staff developing an Equity Platform Section for Board reporting. Check back for updated resources to support equity assessments and reach out to OER here with questions.
